About This Kitchen
A Downingtown kitchen viewed through an archway from the dining room. Stained cherry raised-panel uppers and perimeter contrast with a gray painted raised-panel island — the kind of two-tone move that lets you keep the warmth of wood without going all-wood. The painted island is the only break in an otherwise stained cabinetry palette.
Quartz perimeter countertops paired with a black granite island top: the quartz lightens the perimeter against the cherry, and the black granite anchors the island as the visual base of the room. Stainless steel hood over the range gives the kitchen a defined visual center.
